World War Z is an adaptation of the film PG-13, 2006 Max Brooks novel of the same name. But if my Google search is correct, the film has very little to do with the book. And if history has taught us anything, it is that filming is often not as good as the books that try to adapt - especially if they differ substantially from its source. I, for one, have not read the book, and it is not able to assess whether the World War Z or was not successful adaptation. But I can judge, World War Z, as an independent film, and I must say - it is not particularly good.

The film is mainly about brad pitt character - a former UN official named Gerry Lane - trying to find a cure for the zombie outbreak. There is not much plot to World War Z and the story is not some important points determined. It is one of the problems with World War Z - no real plot development. World War Z 'compensate' for the lack of a coherent story to a rhythm / action are filled quickly. Action scenes of the film literally begin in the first minute, and almost never stop for this party add two hours. To be honest, there is a place in history to find a little 'mild social criticism but nothing essentially different from the usual clichés.

In addition to the weak plot, World War Z, however, has a problem with the way portrays zombies. It was clear that World War Z wanted to break the world record for the film with the highest number of zombies. Of course, for the producers of this film can be impossible to achieve with only actors with makeup, so this purpose they created the broad masses of zombies using CGI. As a result, the zombies in World War Z looks very artificial. Sometimes I still felt like I was watching something a live action games (not unlike Left 4 Dead), which is definitely not a good thing. For the rest of you, I do not recommend World War Z because of how disappointing the film seems - it's just a vague shadow of something that would be great.
